ONLINE ENTRY FEES: Can be made via Credit Card or EFT, closing date is Tuesday, 28 January 2020 at midnight.
NO REFUNDS: No refunds will be permitted unless a doctors certificate is submitted.
DOWNGRADES: Will be permitted online. Online downgrades will only be accepted until 28 January 2020 at midnight. Thereafter, downgrades will only be permitted at the race collection tent - date, time and venue to be confirmed. Downgrades can only be done within the same race discipline ie: 80km MTB to 60km MTB and not 80km MTB to 55km Road. Downgrades will incur a R150.00 admin fee.
UPGRADES: Will be permitted online. Online upgrades will only be accepted until 28 January 2020 at midnight. Thereafter, upgrades will only be permitted at the race collection tent - date, time and venue to be confirmed. Upgrades can only be done within the same race discipline ie: 60km MTB to 80km MTB and not 80km MTB to 106km Road. Upgrades will incur a R150.00 admin fee + R200 upgrade entry fee = R350.00 in total.
SUBSTITUTIONS: Will be permitted online. Online substitutions will only be accepted until 28 January 2020 at midnight. Thereafter, substitutions will only be permitted at the race collection tent - date, time and venue to be confirmed. Substitutions can only be done within the same race event ie: 80km MTB to 80km MTB and not 80km MTB to 60km MTB. Substitutions will incur a R150.00 admin fee. Please ensure to bring a signed permission letter from the original rider, which includes their name, surname and ID number.
ULTIMATE QUEST: Entries will only be accepted online, errors in entering this challenge incorrectly will not be refunded.
TANDEM ENTRANTS: Tandem entrants must submit 2 separate entry fields online ie: Participant 1’s details and Participant’s 2’s details.
CHILD ENTRANTS - ROAD RACE: The minimum age of a child entering the 55km Pursuit is 12 years of age.We encourage children to be accompanied by an entered adult. The minimum age of a child entering the 106km Classic open seeded category is 15 years of age. However, should you wish to race in the junior category (Domestic racing licence required), you have to be 17 years old, on the year of the race.
CHILD ENTRANTS - MTB RACE: The minimum age of a child entering the 30km Powerade Leisure Challenge is 13 years of age, the 60km Adventure is 15 years of age and the 80km Extreme race is 19 years of age.
RACING RULES: CSA and UCI racing rules will be adhered to. For more information on CSA rules and regulations go to www.cyclingsa.com.
HELMET: Must be worn at all times while on the course. NO HELMET - NO RIDE.
RACE NUMBERS: Must be fixed on bike (Mountain Bike Race) or back of cyclist (Road Race) at all times while on the course.
LICENCES: If you do not have a CSA Licence you will be required to purchase a Day Licence at R35 per day. This only applies to the following races: MTB Races: 80km Extreme, 60km Adventure & 30km Powerade Leisure Challenge; Road Races: 106km Classic and 55km Pursuit.
TIME CHIP: No Racetec timing chip, no time, applies to Road 106km and 55km events only.
PRIZE MONEY - ROAD RACES: Prize money will only be paid out to cyclists who possess a valid Domestic Racing Licence (Professional CSA Racing Licence). Riders will need to enter into the Elite, u23 or Junior category in order to qualify for this, and will need to reflect as such on your licence. All other riders (including VETS men and ladies) are required to have a Membership CSA Licence (standard licence) or Day licence. The Chief Commissaries decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
DOMESTIC RACING LICENCE (PROFESSIONAL LICENCE): Must be presented at registration when collecting your race pack, otherwise the entrant won’t be eligible for prize money.
CSA LICENCE: Must be presented at registration when collecting your race pack, unless a Day License has been purchased.
Waiver & Indemnity
Participants take part entirely at their own risk and agree that they shall have no claim whatsoever against the organising bodies, and individual or official marshall, assistant, helper or agent, the sponsors or any local authorities or their employees, in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever which participants may suffer arising from any injury to their person or loss or damage to their property as a result of, or arising out of, whether directly or indirectly, the participant’s participation in the race itself, the participants arrival and departure therefrom, attendance at race pack collection, prize-giving or other function thereof, any loss or damage to bicycles or other equipment, however such loss or damage may arise regardless of whether or not the same shall have been caused directly or indirectly by the negligence albeit gross, of one or more of the aforementioned parties. Persons signing this entry form as guardian of a minor hereby consent to such minor being bound by the aforementioned parties to the extent, if any to which such minor being is not capable of waiving his/her rights as stipulated above.
